Noble
A vine-stock that is capable of producing great high-quality wines that are duly recognised both nationally and internationally. Many of these noble vine-stocks are international and have acclimatized themselves to different regions, such as the Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Riesling, Muscatel, Grenache, Tempranillo or Pinot Noir. In Portugal, the following varieties are considered noble: Touriga Nacional, Periquita, Trincadeira Preta, Tinta Roriz/Aragonês (Tempranillo) for reds and Alvarinho and Arinto for whites.
