Wine Spirit
A colourless spirit that is distilled from wine and, after aging for a period, produces Aguardente Velha, Cognac, Armagnac or Brandy.
Wine vat
Vessel used for must fermentation or storage of wines. Preferably, a wine vat should be made from stainless steel, but there are also cement vats coated in resins.
Wine
Product obtained exclusively by the total or partial alcoholic fermentation of fresh grapes, whether they have been crushed or not, or from the must produced by fresh grapes. The alcohol content must not be inferior to 8.5%, it must be drinkable and suitable for public consumption and must be made in accordance to rules established by law.
White Wine
Wine made from white grapes.
